IDA takes part in signing aerospace MOU document with Taiwan

COEUR D’ALENE, ID, July 29, 2015: The Idaho Aerospace Alliance took part in the signing of an agreement between the Idaho Department of Commerce and the Taiwan Industrial Development Bureau (IDB) which amended the existing agreement to include aerospace.

The Idaho Department of Commerce invited the Idaho Aerospace Alliance to take part in the signing of the MOU as part of the 2015 Taiwan-USA Industrial Cooperation Mission.

The aim of the MOU is to expand the areas for bilateral industrial cooperation into green energy, semiconductor, aerospace, and commercialization of innovations.

The MOU was signed at the state Capitol Building in Boise, Idaho on July 20th by The Idaho State Secretary of Commerce Mr. Jeff Sayer and the General Director Dr. Mign-Jih Wu of the Taiwan Industrial Development Bureau (IDB)

The document was formally witnessed and signed by the honorable Lieutenant Governor of Idaho Brad Little and Idaho Aerospace Alliance President Garry Hojan.

The MOU opens a new chapter that features “the governments building a bridge for industrial clusters from both sides to interact and exchange, thus speeding up multidimensional cooperation.”

It is estimated that the MOU will realize USD$2 billion in new investment and other potential benefits.

The Idaho Aerospace Alliance (IDA) is a collaborative effort fostering awareness and collaboration within this valuable Idaho growth sector. The Alliance has members throughout Idaho, as well as members from Washington and Montana.
